I think that this card would be broken in limited if was reprinted at common as it was in Arabian Nights. Having multiple Deserts in your deck would enable you to shut down early, aggressive plays.
In any case, it's a fun card I think. It's interactive in that it requires the opponent to attack first, which creates some interesting strategic choices for both players.

I hate this card with a passion. It's like Night Of Souls' Betrayal (a powerful card in of itself), only it costs no mana and no card instead of four mana and one card.

@Gabriel422: How is this at all like Night Of Souls' Betrayal?? NOSB affects all creatures, all the time. Desert affects one creature, if it attacks.
