This is a strictly better Jayemdae Tome in EDH.

combos with wheel of sun and moon for some nice repeatable draw as early as turn 3, 2 with mana accel.

@HairlessThoctar: I'd rather have the Jayemdae Tome. A one-off payment of 2 mana is nothing in EDH and it's worth it to not reveal all your draws to your opponents.

Also, even in EDH you're likely to run more than 1 of basic lands. For example, if a Forest is in your graveyard and you reveal one off the top... it goes in the 'yard too. Theres absolutely no way I would consider playing this over Jayemdae Tome. 0.5/5.

for some reason wizards find it hard to get a a draw mechanic for less than 4 mana, I remember the 2UU:draw a card, enchantment and i had a dozen of them, never played em, thought they would have something a lil better. what about a 2 to play 2, T: flip a coin if heads draw a card, if tails discard a card?

@cathode01: Run a Terravore in the deck, especially if it's monogreen. Then you're either drawing a card or pumping the Terravore.

How did I not see this before? This is quite good in any EDH deck lacking good drawpower.
