a plane-shifted version of Giant Growth, sweet.
red used to have a bunch of similar spells like this before, though in most cases it only boosted the creature's power.

Sorry, but you're wrong. Once the defending player is done declairing blockers (and declairing no blockers counts as declairing blockers), both players get to play instants befor combat damage is dealt.

I agree, forgeling. I agree fully. Much stronger...

A red Giant Growth.

Hmm I'm not convinced that this fits the red flavour but it's certainly an interesting card...

love how they feel the need to mention it's a planshifted version of giant growth in the oracle text

Insectile's comment is hilarious in hindsight. They did remove Giant Growth...but they didn't put Brute Force in.

If Giant Growth is removed from the next core set, this might be reprinted instead.

it doesn't make much sense because it isn't supposed to. plainer chaos is an insane set because it has many cards exactly like another one except in all the wrong colors. there are many cards that don't make much sense like a red wall that Unsummons creatures or a blue destroy spell.

@palmspark: sorry, i was in a hurry, spelling mistakes have been corrected

i've changed a lot as a player since i wrote a comment on this last.
old comment -

anyway, i've learned the rules of the game (yay) and realised that combat tricks just aren't good in general.

dead draws with no creatures, and the extra damage you can cause to a player is often underwhelming as they have to be letting you hit them anyway, better to just be using burn.

often it can be card disadvantage as in response to you using this they can kill the creature, which is always pretty bad

the only deck i have with instant speed pumping now is my infect deck, purely because the card advantage and you get killing something with rot wolf is very nice and often worth these downsides.

anyway, pretty poor card, good in drafting as is every trick and just by not being green doesn't make a bad card good.

2.5/5 for surprise value alone.
