@Tezz, no, it doesn't fail in a Doran deck. Use it to buff your own creatures, or you can still use it to shrink larger creatures. Lignify a Phyrexian Dreadnought, or some similar monstrosity, and suddenly a vanilla 4/4 doesn't seem so bad.

What I love most about this card is that it's tribal - treefolk, which means Leaf-crowned elder lets you potentially play it for free :-)

What happens if I use this on a Gideon? Does he stop being a Planeswalker? Does he remain a Planeswalker, just with no abilities? Hmmm...
