Play him cheap for the effect, or hard cast and keep him. Then they also have to deal with a huge fatty. He hits players also, but his only downside is that is a lot of green mana.

This card gives me a stoke when it get's sided in against my Esper aggro deck when they figure out I'm doing 90% of my damage in the air when they just planned to use this against faeries.

So the 7/7 with reach is only worth an extra GreenGreen? Kewl.

great card. a volcanic fallout of sorts against fliers, plus with a power/toughness of 7/7, he is hard enough to deal with anyways. Works great when played on your opponents end step, then come your turn he charges into the red zone with blind fury! Ill be sad when he leaves standard :(

This card deserves nothing less than a 5/5. A massive creature for 6, flash and reach means you can easily take out an opponents creature by playing it when your opponent attacks. The second ability is just gravy against any possible faeries.

What would a Blue creature cost to have this kind of power and ability? What, 9 mana, if not more? Green gets it for six. Of course.

The first time i saw someone use a blink to get around the evoke sacrifice, I thought it seemed a little fishy, but i let it pass. If you review the rules, specifically 702.72a, it's very clear that the sacrifice is PART of the casting cost, not a triggered effect. Failure to sacrifice the creature makes the evoke fizzle and the creature goes to the graveyard. It doesn't matter if the creature leaves the battlefield, it still must be sacrificed to fulfill the evoke cost. Any judge that misses this obviously hasn't read the rules closely enough.
