At first, this card confused the crap out of me. Then I read the reminder text. "Oh, of course, damage causes loss of life!"

The redundancy of its redundant redundancy proves how redundant redundant redundancies can be.

Great if you get one early in multiplayer.

This works as a good General.

Obviously, this isn't used for big attacks, but more-so, a card that can give you card advantage, and since I'm talking about EDH, and since the effect affects each end-step, you could draw an extra 3 cards before your next draw phase.

He's my general mostly because I find that whenever I draw him, it's way too late in the game, and thus is why he is my General and not Oona, Queen of the Fae.

Also, i kind of annoy people with things like Jin-Gitaxias, Core Augur, Braingeyser, Prosperity and lastly, Psychosis Crawler

Only 2 mana, can be put into mono black for card draw, and a sturdy 3 toughness!

He is such a fun and enjoyable general to use as your commander in EDH. Each turn becomes a minigame to see if this present turn you can cause an opponent to lose enough life from his or her life total through loss of life (or damage, which causes loss of life) to draw a card because the opponent playing against you lost 3 or more life this past turn. An enemy opponent with smart brains will wastefully squander resources in a desperate act of desperation to prevent you from gaining an early card advantage, which will lead to a late-game advantage later in the game.

Best of all worse facts, the presence of this summoned creature being there will make otherwise mediocre cards such as and including vampiric touch change to become better than mediocre as you boost their previously unimpressive effects with the additional effect of cantripping to draw a card.

Unfortunately, Deathcurse Ogre has still not become playable despite this increase in h... (see all)

I remember in EDH I was playing progenitus and one of the players had this guy. My deck is built around the fetchlands and shocklands for the mana base, and everytime I went "crack fetch take 2 i'm conley woods" he drew a card, so I quickly stopped doing that.

Isn't the reminder text a little redundant, and obvious?
