You guys are using this card all wrong. If you are running mono green there is no way you shouldn't get a Verdant Force out on turn two in the best case. And be more than unpleasant for your opponent in the average case.
Forest + Elvish Spirit Guide = Gaea's Touch
Play an extra Forest
sac Gaea's Touch to play another Gaea's Touch
Play and extra Forest
Tap two forests to play Rofellos
Turn two
Rofellos + Three Forests + sac Gaea's Touch = Verdant Force.
For those asking why they printed this in the first place. There was a time in this game when you had to pay more attention to what you were doing and plan ahead. Since they've gotten rid of mana burn this card has become a no-brainer. It didn't used to be that way. It could backfire on you big time if you tapped for a ton then the target for your mana died. Ooopps that's 10 damage from mana, thanks Rofellos.

What the hell?? In a monogreen deck this card is a gamebreaker! First just tap this to bring out your fattie, and then tap your lands to do something else! Too bad it's so easy to destroy, but you can't get everything for 2 mana! 4.5/5

Dear freaking god.
A creature you play on turn two should not be able to tap for 3 mana on turn 3.
If you or someone you know uses this as an EDH general; you're probably a jerk and your playgroup hates you behind your back.

Carta dall'esiguo costo che in combo con Staff of Domination e 5 Forest in gioco ti permette di avere Mana infinito Verde...

Priest of Titania?
Turn 1, llanowar elf
Turn 2, Priest of titania + random 1/1
Turn 3 = 7 mana... if you use your forests to play 3 more 1/1s (this would use every card in your hand, but its possible).. then titania + llanowar tap for 7 MORE mana and suddenly you have 6 1/1s and a big fatty! Youll have nothing else to cast, but I'm just saying there are better cards out there, so don't bag on this guy too much.
TBH noone should bag on anything pre Zendikar anymore. That entire set has redefined the term "broken", then drop kicked it out of the park, went out into the parking lot and ran it over with their car.
