Broken when used with Flash while Enchanted Evening is in play, tipping the game so much in your favor that it's almost impossible to recover from. Almost not worth playing in any deck that doesn't involve that enchantment.

The look of everyone else's face on the table as you reach over and grab all their lands is kind of priceless, though the novelty of it wears off eventually.

Yes, actually, Aura Thief does steal Auras. In MOST cases, however, gaining control of an Aura does nothing, given that Auras are generally attached to other permenants. Aura Thief would steal Glacial Armor, but not the creature to which it is attached.

I love how the ruling is like, yeah this card doesn't really do anything.

Aura Thief can't steal Auras. That's great.

Create great politics in multi-player games, you know some people would rather protect the Thief than letting it die and you stealing all enchantments.

"The look of everyone else's face on the table as you reach over and grab all their lands is kind of priceless"

What do you mean, "kind of"?

Bruna, Light of Alabaster & Ertai, the corrupted are two cards that come to making use of those pesky auras.
