If someone were to imprint this on say, the Isochron Scepter... would you get the exiled card back into your hand?

Given its cycle (Revive the Fallen, Research the Deep, Redeem the Lost, Recross the Paths and Release the Ants) is composed of well-known spells that cots 1 extra mana for the clash mechanic, this really should deal 2 damage (Shock) instead of only 1. As it is, it's almost unplayable, unlike Recross the Paths and Revive the Fallen, which I actually run in some decks.

Guys, this card is meant to take out utility creatures, with a chance of rearming your ant cannon for another mana dork.

And also, if this cost Red it would seriously be broken. All you would need is some top deck manipulation and this card would be a mana efficient Blaze @ instant speed that you can divide that damage as you wished, thats also hard to counter. Oh and you can do it every turn. Just imagine with Sensei's Divining Top.

One point of interest: Since this can be cast multiple times before your next draw and Clash can put the card back on top, if you can place a high CMC card on the top of your library you can easily spam this.

Unfortunately it's somewhat shown up by Pyromatics unless you plan to use it over multiple turns.
