With Leyline of Punishment on the board, deathtouch would indeed kill Magic's favorite uncle.
Anyway, why does Nicol Bolas get a planeswalker card but not Uncle Istvan? Bolas is some lame dragon. But Uncle Istvan is Uncle-freakin'-Istvan! Abilities: +1: You win the game!

@Joseph_Leito: Yes, it would. The Deathtouching creature would have to deal damage to Istvan, which it can't.
