Im shocked and somewhat offended that I dont see more thoctar in popular naya decks. Thoctar is such a preposterously proportioned threat that requires an answer. His fat stats work really well with the behemoth sledge, which is such a blow out.

I remember when 5/4's required five mana. Three makes half the vanilla creatures ever printed (with some leeway when it comes to scaling to different power/toughness) obsolete.

It wouldn't have seen play at four mana, but I have to question whether three was an intelligent decision in a block based around three-color wedges. It wasn't exactly difficult to get the right colors with the Alara and Zendikar blocks in standard...

Powerful yet simple. Its limitation is simply the colors your deck can produce, which makes it balanced as well.

Quite possible my favorite creature card when it comes to playability. Strap Shield of Oversoul making it 7/6 flying + indestructible :D love it

One from the best Naya creatures; 5-power attacker for only three mana with solid defense.

Shouldn't the mana be in the order WRG, not RGW?

@Asinine-Ultimatum: I'm sure that comment was quite insightful until most of those problems got fixed.

Anyways, hell, this guy's simple, let's keep it simple. He's good. Really good. If you're running these colors and don't have this guy in your deck, I oughta slap you. Only vanilla card I've seen that I'd actually consider making a deck around- but then, looks like TheWrathofShane beat me to it.
