These can be good in certain situations, such as getting the bonuses from the Bant Surebladecycle when they come out on turn 2, as these count as a multi-colored permanent.

now that land tax is no longer banned in legacy, this could see some play in parfait decks..see here, it bounces your lands back keeping your land count low..also protects you if you're running Armageddon..
i agree with infernox10 though..i wish they'd make a borderpost for every colors and not just friendly ones..a {R}/{W} borderpost would've been good in a cherry parfait(utilizing blood moon)..
