Unfortunately you'll have a hard time casting this (2WhiteBlack or 2White or BlackBlue should have done as well i guess), but it has a decent body and the effect is very useful for having both a cip/etb and a "pig" trigger.
Being an artifact and dependant on format, Vedalken Engineer should do a great job getting this spider on the battlefield.

Personally this guy seems pretty underrated to me. 4 cmc for a 3/3 artifact isn't that bad, and the 3 colors aren't that bad either as it's Esper colors. Seems like it wouldnt be hard to break; Thopter Assembly anyone?
