The Text says Destroy all nonland permanents. on a side note if you meant that you can't regen from being destoryed you are mistaken, seeing as how you can regen from deathtouch which destroys the creature after it has taken damage.

You all seem to be missing the absolute beauty of this card. Wraith of God only removed creatures. This removes ANY nonland permanent. So, should your opponent have enchantments, such as Levitation, Rage Reflection or any artifact that might be giving them life, or even a Planeswalker close to game breaking loyalty counters, this removes it. It costs a little more because it removes more.

It's Wrath that costs two more to throw enchantments, artifacts and even planeswalkers into the line of fire. What's with all the hate?

Not to mention it bears some of the best art in recent memory, and that's saying something.

I'm surprised their haven't been any comments on the awesome artwork yet. Look at that stunning light/dark contrast, the amazing shadowing, and the gorgeous detail -- notice the castle on the right and the little lake on the lower left.

Seriously, whether you like the effect or not this card is a visual masterpiece. Props to Michael Komarck.

4/5 for effect; 6/5 for artwork!

OMG they didn't put in a regeneration clause. Time to remake the old nevinyral's disk deck.

My opinion is, WoG is better in most situations, of course it can destroy non-creatures, thats cool, but god-damn expensive for the purpose.

Oh, not mentioning there isn't ton of white creatures with regeneration, so to regenerate your creature(s), multicolor is probalby a must (not so cool since it cost WWW). And keep some mana to regenerate, probably, so the mana cost of such move is getting even higher. And hope your opponent doesn't have anything with regeneration (especially because he doesn't have to pay billion mana for the spell).

Still, woodsgirl is right, it's good game reset and.

dude, it isnt WoG

it costs 1W more, and wipes planeswalkers, enchantments and artifacts
yes it costs a lot, 6 is a lot period, but you use this to wipe bombs, why are you thinking of regenrating your dudes, chances are, if you need to resort to this, you dont have many left

and for all of you who miss your WoG, IT WAS REPINTED WITH A NEW NAME, you can stop crying now

sorry damnation lovers, you get no loving

I LOVE this card! I usually play pretty fast decks with low-cost everything, but having an eraser just simply rules. I'll hold critters in my hand, take a little damage, let my opponent put his good stuff out, get comfortable etc...

Then BAM!!! Drop this bad boy and it all goes bye-bye. Especially if he just tapped himself to put some huge green critter with trample or some stupid elf that makes all other elves have shroud or something stupid.

Then I drop a bunch of cheap critters and send the farm. It's even better than Wrath, because it gets rid of their annoying enchantments, artifacts and those loser Planeswalkers.

I think it was less that "wrath is too powerful" and more "let's make this particular removal a little slower/weaker for now."
