Seems underrated. Sure ur paying (1)(W) more for that disenchant, but ur also getting a 2/3 body. A 2/3 body that can be abused mind you.
Same reason why some people use Venser, Shaper Savant over mindbreak trap

It's a 2 for 1 sort of like Return to Dust except instead of answering 2 things you answer 1 thing and get a dude. I like it, good for any deck that likes dudes because this is a good one. In limited it's generally just going to be a 3 mana 2/3 meaning it's not going to trade up with all the random 2/2s your opponent has. So in general just a pretty good value creature. Pretty decent stats too. Duergar Hedge-Mage probably better due to it's ability to 3 for 1, but this guy is cool too and does what it's there for.

Using this a lot lately in my modern boros. Creature and removal combo gets 4 stars.
