Better than Rampant Growth in Jund.
Turn 1: Forest
Turn 2: Forest + Nest Invader.
Turn 3: Land + Vengevine, eats a Lightning Bolt.
Turn 4: Land + Bloodbraid Elf, cascade into creature to bring bolted Vengevine back from the grave, swing.
Also, with this strategy there are more creatures for BBE to cascade into, and therefore more chances to get a Vengevine recursion with BBE.

Basically a 2/2 that could cost G, could provide a useful chump blocker, or could provide nice combos with other cards. Very nice!

I like it, but unfortunately it won't work with my mass polymorph concept. Need to produce creatures to polymorph that don't come from other creature spells.

it's good but nowhere near 5 stars. vendetta is a better common in rise. yet this is rated higher then gush, kodama's reach, armadillo cloak, and even blightning. something is wrong with you people. it is solid and decent but not great.
as for best common in the set, that goes to dawnglare invoker.

One of the most horrifying things I can imagine is this guy on second turn, with a Windbrisk Heights dropped. If you had a first turn creature, or a 3rd turn haste creature. Bring that card out!
If its Emrakul, the Aeons Torn, play it & take an EXTRA TURN. Annihilator 6 with a 15/15 trampler on what boils down to third turn. I'd say that qualifies as horrifying.
Also works for Progenitus, or any other obscene card you may want to not hardcast.
