Isn't this effect with sacrificing your own creatures to get power more like a black thing?
This has black written all over it, like sacrifice. Imagine Garruck cutting the throat of one of his own creatures to obtain power like this... doesn't sem very green to me. Could easily imagine Leliana Vess doing it.
This is an awesome card, easily being able to reload your hand for 4CMC. The lifegain is just icing on the cake.

I'm mixed on this card, I mean seriously, you have to keep 4 mana open, then sac. your own creature (even if it was going to die anyways), to draw cards. Soul's majesty is still in shards of alara (aka currently in standard for the time being), and while its not an instant your creature doesn't die in the process.

I still think it's really good, I just think there are times when sac.ing your own creature just doesn't sound as convienient as one might think. On the other hand.. if you had enough mana to swing around.. mark of mutiny or traitorous instinct with momentous fall sounds fun. Sarkhan vol (the original version) also a good contender.

This would be hilarious on a pumped up Scute Mob. Opps, you just drew most, if not all of your library.

Wow, exciting card for green. I feel tempted to run it with Groundbreaker, maybe sac a Timbermare after attacking with it.

this card is great in my eldrazi deck...
I willingly murder Emrakul's face to draw 15 and gain 15. Why? because I get another turn and I just shuffled him in, so im likely to draw him again. Thats why.
Use with Spellbook or Reliquary Tower.

I would still prefer Harmonize. I don't like planning for my guys to die, let alone leaving open 4 mana on the chance that it happens. Against blue this card would be dead weight, if it gets countered you lose two cards to their one and it will rarely be sacrificing a creature that would already be dieing because blue doesn't usually win in creature combat and has no kill removal.

If Harmonize gets countered, it's 1 for 1. If it resolves you gain two cards. It doesn't care about what creatures you can sacrifice. Sure it's not instant speed and it won't gain you more than a simple 3 cards, but it's simplicity is what makes it a powerful card.

Instant makes all the difference here. Harmonize would be strictly better if this was sorcery. Even then I'm not sure if Harmonize isn't better.

Does make a lovely pair with Vengevine.

Looks great on paper, but when is green ever going to want to keep four mana open to wait for something to die?
