This idea is gonna sound ridiculous; I think if this card got printed in Modern, it wouldn't be too busted or the format.

Of course with the current attitude Wizards has towards land destruction, we all know that won't happen. Also this would warp Standard waaay to hard to even be considered for reprint.

SStone Rain just got served by a NONE red land destruction.

Then again, so did every other land destruction card out there (other than arguably Molten Rain or Roiling Terrain, depending on how you play them)

5/5. Less mana your opponent has, the more her/his options are limited, making for an easier win. let's be honest here, winning is all we care about, and cards like these make it so much easier.
