@TPmanW - This works on Emrakul not because it doesn't target but because Emrakul has protection from coloured spells. This is obviously a permanent except when you play it, but at that point it targets so you can't put it straight on an Emrakul.
Definitely a great card - I have to counter every copy a friend has in a burn-control deck with only Sphinx of Jwar Isle as a finisher.

the more I use this card, the more I love it. you just keep moving it to their progressively bigger and better creatures as the game goes on! AND blocks activated abilities??
