@ Dr.Pingas: The only creatures prior to Troll Ascetic to have hexproof were Zuo Ci, the Mocking Sage and Taoist Hermit from the rare P3K. Along with the troll was Plated Slagwurm. Trollshroud sounds better than slagshorud/wurmshroud. And now with that it 'trolls' your opponent...its not hard to see how it got its name.

Strictly the same as Savage Silhouette. Not really complaining about it, since I really like this twist of flavor - instead of having a superevolved survival instinct, the creature just heals itself so quick that otherwise lethal wounds don't do more than tapping it until it next turn. That and it also reinforces M12's policy of separating trolls from the "trollshroud" (hexproof) ability and linking them to their universal regeneration (well, except for Odious Trow), which is nice for new player to catch up mith Magic's flavor. And to please older flavor-loving players.
Gameplay-wise, it seems quite attractive, specially with all those aura-loving Hexproof creatures, but even though I've tried it in my Aura deck it doesn't work properly. I'd stick to Umbras or Serpent Skin if able. Unlike Serpent Skin, though, this gives the creature the regeneration ability, which, along with the flavor of grafting tr... (see all)
