To those of you complaining that white needs land drops badly, remember that in most formats (all eternal formats) where this is legal, so is Land Tax.

very good sideboard material in parfait..

pretty handy against nether void, stax and other pesky mana-denial, prison like decks..

you still need to pay 3 mana aside from discarding a plains when nether void is in play, but its better than paying 5 mana when you're using disenchant!

not strictly worse than disenchant!

Given Land Tax, Tithe, and similar, discarding a land to play for free is hardly a tempo loss. White Weenie barely needs lands in the first place (3-4) and having ways to disturb an opponent's Winter Orb before it hits you and without losing tempo.. that's huge.

There's a fair few effects that search up Plains cards and put them into your hand if you've got too few lands, which this can take advantage of. In addition to stopping turn 1 wins as mentioned, it can also take out buffing artifacts/enchantments when you appear tapped out, letting you turn combat phases to your advantage (hitting a Collective Blessing, for instance). For only {W} more to hardcast, it's a good deal.
