He rings the bell; that's his job. I like him. He sticks to his principles.

One of the best commons in the set. Good splash-able cost, flash, great toughness, mean combat trick, and awesome synergy with the tap-cost activated abilities in limited and standard (Mikaeus, Skirsdag High-Priest, etc.

ok, so we have the 'alarm bell' ringer- now what I REALLY want in Dark Ascension is the CATHEDRAL Bell Ringer.

Yep. I want a Quasimodo card in Magic. Now, the design of a Bell Ringer is probably only good for one card, so we probably won't see it....eXCEPT-

If they went for a Top Down designed Hunchback of Notre Dame refence, it could specifically call out Gargoyles (adding a slight Gargoyle subtheme to D.A. would be awesome, and fit right in) and then it could be a completely different card mechanically.

I think it could work- but I'm not sure if the design team of Innistrad would think that fits into the Horror Genre enough....if we don't get a Hunchback in Innistrad, then we better get one in Ravnica 2.0.

R and D's finger to all splinter twin players. Oh? You wanted your deck to have consistency? were gonna print another Splinter Twin target... In October. Like everything about him is literally deceiver exarch.

This + 4 mana producing creatures + Orcish Bloodpainter + Nim Deathmantle=infinite damage. Add in one more mana producing creature for a side of infinite mana. Sure, not the best combo, and very hard to get the pieces to, but hilarious when you pull it off against an unsuspecting friend

Whenever I see this card, the commercial for Skyrim pops in my head.

Would it work right if I cast Burn at the Stake, tapped my creatures, then cast Village Bell-Ringer so I could tap them again?
