Just go full circle and put phyrexian ghoul into a core set.
Edit. You are right, Fallen Angel would be full circle. First eater in a core set an all.
But Phyrexian Ghoul is the oldest common that I can remember that does that.

I'm curious. Can you sacrifice more then one creature to give Devouring Swarm additional +1/+1? I was told you could, but I checked the set FAQ and it wasn't even on the list. Please Help.

@Anarchyxmatt: Yes, it can sacrifice itself; it's a creature you control and is therefore valid for paying the cost of its ability. This means you can use it for Morbid or even to chump block, sac then play a Morbid instant.

This is my favorite 3 drop sac. I has flying early without having to sac. In late game, get it big and deliver the final blow. Plays well with Blood Artist and Birthing Pod.
