Drop Library of Leng on turn 1 .. and depending on your hand.. you can either make an opponent loses 5 life or getting your goody into play.

Restless Dreams seems like an amusing way to ensure a creature gets discarded. Nostalgic Dreams also works if you can't splash black, though I'd probably still splash black so I can Animate Dead.
Last Rites would also be pretty harsh. Abandon Hope costs more mana, but also hits lands.
Firestorm, Lightning Axe, and/or Sickening Dreams could help you stay alive if your opponent somehow has the life to keep warding off the Rift.
Alternately, Library of Leng and/or Haunted Crossroads can keep recycling the same major threat until it sticks.

This is sounds great with the new bloodrush, since you can run a lot more creatures w/o loosing utility and whatnot.

Fastbond would greatly improve a deck containing nothing but creatures and land. Drop all your lands and then play creatures as normal, while also "randomly" discarding creatures or Lava Axes, depending on your opponent's decision. Also synergistic with Gift of the Gargantuan and Worldly Tutor, ensuring that your next draws are creatures.
Personally I love build-around rares like this. They make you think how you can get the most out of them and provide new context for other cards, making you evaluate them in a different light.
