I would have expected this card to be a lot more controversial, but it seems there is nothing but love for it so I won't give a really long speech.

This is, I believe, the best mana-producer in the game, possibly. Easily the highest rated card that's COMPLETELY UNPLAYABLE in any tournament format. EDH is truly magical. This card. THIS CARD. Sells me. I want to play EDH now. give me 98 stupid random cards, a dorky general that everyone says sucks, and this card, and the first time I draw it and slap it down on the table, I will cry: "VICTORY! I have Golden Mana!!! Painless!!! Untapped!!!! FOR LESS THAN $100.00!!!!!!! This Game is Amazing!!!"

and then you can go ahead and kill me with Uril, or Zur, or some other borken dude. who gives a flying about them.

EVERYONE who has played Magic has died to mana screwage. This does to Mana Screw what Force of Will does to everything else: N.O.

Command Tower is not 'auto include in every Commander deck',

Command Tower is 'auto include in every collection, right after you add the 5 basic land types.'

I like this card. I like it a lot. :)

I don't get why people love this card. I just don't. In any multi-colored EDH deck (that's most of them), this card is almost strictly superior to ANY mana-producing land. In other words, a MUST-PLAY card. If you don't have this card, you're at a disadvantage. Its set symbol indicates 'common', but that's ***; it's only been printed in expensive pre-constructed commander decks. According to BlackBorder's price guide, the cheapest you can get it for right now is $6. That means EITHER YOU SPEND SIX DOLLARS, OR YOU ARE AT A DISADVANTAGE. This is 'pay to win' at its finest. People see it as an improvement to their EDH deck, but all I can see is a penalty if you don't fork over an additional six dollars when building your deck (a cost that has to be paid again for every deck you have at any given time).

The only thing this card lacks is basic land types. Other than that, it's strictly superior to any mana-land. People complain about the mythic rarity, yet they are fine with an expensi... (see all)

I don't like the design philosophy behind this card, since it's a no-brainer. I like having to think about constructing a deck. For this one, it's just "Am I making an EDH deck? Is it multicolored? If so, include this card. Otherwise, don't.". Where's the tough decision in that?

I'd have much preferred if they had made new Lairs for the wedge-colored dragons, following the same model as they used for Rith's Grove and the like. Those are useful, but they're not an auto-include in every deck that can possibly use them, and they could also have been used in non-EDH play.

I really hope they reprint this outside of the commander sets somehow. Otherwise, this is going to be as expensive as those other "EDH Staples" Lightning Greaves and Sol Ring.

This card is amazing. Taps for any color your deck could possibly need. In 5-coler decks, it basically reads "{T}: add one mana of any color to your mana pool" with no drawbacks!
Arguably the best land ever printed for EDH when it comes to mana fixing.

I just wish they had given it the ability to tap for 1 as well, so when I shuffle up an EDH deck to play against a 60-card casual, it wouldn't be so awkward to draw this.

I've seen many complaints by players that this card is worthless in non-Commander formats but I've never seen them complain about a card being printed that is worthless in Commander.

@MasterOfEtherium

Then don't play it! For Commander decks, this card is great. There's no arguing that.
