This cycle is awesome for budget EDH players.

Spent all your money on shocks/duals, or just using the ones you happen to already own? Now you don't need to shell out *** $40 a pop for the relevant fetches. Sure, these come into play tapped, but EDH is a slow format anyways.

Having to wait one more turn to fetch my shocks/duals is definitely worth the amount of cash I save by playing these.

There is no way evolving wilds or terramorphic expanse are better than these fetch lands, imho. Yes this ETBs tapped, but they fetch non-basics, which ETB untapped.

You would obviously not use this peticular fetch land if you didn't need green or white at all, but there was a full cycle of these cards in Mirage.

MrFluffyThing, as for your example, you can play this turn 1 as well, and then during your upkeep fetch the land. It would be just the same as a turn 1 wilds or expanse, except this lets you get much more vaulable dual lands.

CaptainBlue, the efficiency of this card is not limited to only GW decks. Since these can fetch dual lands (shock or original), you can run this in a deck the uses either g or w. Also, I repect your opinion about being able to draw a card first before choosing which land type you get, but personally I like to crack these before the draw. I am 1 card less likely to draw a land that way, thereby increasing my chances of drawing a no... (see all)
