I can see this being really annoying in stall decks. They either pay the cost and slow down their plays, or sacrifice their expensive permanent. And if you're backing it up with fog effects anyways, it seems like a win/win.

Wonderful imagery. God knows this would be an Orzhov card if the guild were in this set.

This is mean and would work well with other x effects like Syncopate stacked on top.

How is this rated lower than Pendrell Flux when this clearly is better?! It give you the option of enchanting not only a creature, but anything that isn't a land (which don't have mana costs to begin with). The trade off is the strict color of the mana cost for the ability to put it on pretty much anything. Nicol Bolas, Planeswalker giving you a headache? Now your opponent has to pay 8 mana per turn to keep him alive. Eldrazi bothering you? The cost just went up. In limited, this thing is a nightmare too. It'll ruin your opponent's tempo and lock down his/her lands for several turns or it'll bury a pesky enchantment that's stopping your creature or destroy your opponents creature, which ruins their tempo in another way, regardless.

As a stall player I like this kind of cards. Also like that upkeep is BEFORE drawstep so if someone by misstake draws a card before paying the cost... Bye bye Permanent (and I am sure alot of players will do that missplay) It is a card that punishes you for not knowing all the rules, me like it!

This is a very good removal aura. Nobody is going to pay that much mana to save their permanent. Not every turn. I know this because I happen to be a pro.

You have to realize this card essentially says "Target non-land permanent is sacrificed at the beginning of its controllers next upkeep"

Most of the time players would rather choose sacrificing their guy rather than fall behind turns in mana production. Sure there are cards that do this much better but how many of them are in white?

Ooh, you paid a LOT of mana for that guild leader there...
