@ liir007 Top 10 most popular on the gatherer auras you mean. :) They are not the top 10 best auras. I'd put stuff like necromancy, griffin guide or confiscate (just as examples) in my decks 10 times over spirit link or soul link.

Regarding soul link: it's ok if you have some kind of combo with it (ie a creature that deals tons of damage to everything including itself). However, the "receives damage" part is often rather irrelevant, since when that creature receives damage it's likely to die. And when a creature of yours dies on which you placed an aura, then you're in trouble anyway. :)

I usually prefer taking this card over lifelink. I'm running an Oros, The Avenger deck, and when I plop down this card on it the lifegain gets pretty sick.

Thing is, some of my friends run these white nightmare decks where they spam a gazillion tokens and then cast Phyrexian Rebirth. Oros is usually indestructible so suddenly I'm up against a 1000/1000 Horror token. Gaining a 1000 life when Oros blocks is pretty damn sweet.

I have a question. My opponent had soul link on 2 different creatures, one on crypt rat and the other on wall of resistance, and hits everyone for 1 with the rat. How much life does he get and why?.

@ShoklinEcho
It depends on how many other creatures and players there were, but assuming it was just those two creatures and just the two of you playing, he would gain 6. 4 for dealing one damage to the 4 targets (the two creatures and two players) 1 for the one damage dealt to the rats and 1 for one damage dealt to the wall.

This seems way too good to be a common. For example, imagine slapping it on a Palace Guard or Taunting Elf and then playing Undying Evil on it? Or even better, enchant the creature with another enchantment called Blessing of Leeches.

Seems like a pretty cool life gain trick, even without regenerating a creature for it.
