If you have easy access to your graveyard (and you should, you're playing with Swamps), this is half-cost, instant speed Demonic Tutor for a creature that is going to pimp-slap your opponent when you resolve Animate Dead, Reanimate, Exhume, or Diabolic Servitude later in the turn.

I just paid 30 bucks for an Entomb.

And 5 bucks for a bunch of other cards.

A good example of a card that isn't good by itself, but very good for some deck. It not every deck that will need this. You will not use it in a Fish deck, or a Enchantress deck.

But in a dedicated deck (Reanimation, Incarnation), you will just disgust your opponent. Having a creature in the grave in the first turn gives you an enormous advantage.

First turn Entomb, second turn Exhume. This deck's best targets would probably be Blazing Archon, Inkwell Leviathan or Sphinx of the Steel Wind. Good Entomb targets to add to your deck might be Iona, Shield of Emeria and Jin-Gitaxias, Core Augur.

It's almost necessary to get a Dark Ritual and put it into this deck...

I actually like Brockdjwest's idea of putting Entomb and Disentomb together :)
It's kind of poetic, and still quite powerful: Essentially Demonic Tutor with an extra 'discard a card' rider.
A 'dumbed down' version of Reanimator COULD be fun to play in a casual setting?

There's also a small case to be made that simply building in variance, like a 3-1 split Exhume/Disentomb, is a way to play against Meddling Mage/Thought Hemorrhage/Surgical Extraction/Cranial Extraction/Runed Halo and similar cards that are supposed to silver bullet an opponent's combo pieces. It won't come up a lot, but it would kind of just plain suck if you managed to set up Entomb and Buried Alive to have the perfect set of creatures in your graveyard, then your opponent stole away all the cards you had to get them back out.

The min-max version of the deck is already known- I find thinking about unusual ways to build decks interesting, and the advantage of confusing your opponents by playing cards they don't expec... (see all)

I always used this to put Lightning Greaves in my yard, so I could reanimate Sun Titan and get back Daring Apprentice.

Edit: Why the freaking troll rating???????
