How on Earth is that guy even remotely a serpent?

I'd still run this in a casual Quest for Ula's temple deck with stormtide leviathan and some Freed from the real or that one blue aura that gives vigilance from planar chaos.

On a completely unrelated note: while browsing on Opera, the browser tells me that stormtide is misspelled. When I right click to see the correct spelling it comes up with: storm tide, storm-tide, stormtroopers, storminess, Stormie, stormily, postmortem, and systematize. o_O

There isn't much to say about this card other than it just doesn't work. Just like most of the other Homelands era creatures it's severely overcosted and cumbersome to use.

Sac a creature just does not work in Blue. I'm sorry, but it just doesn't.

I can see it in Red and Black, it's practically a staple. I can even see it in Green and White, while not very flavorful. All of them can make tokens pretty easily, but mostly Red (Goblins) and Green (Saprolings, Elves, Beasts, Wolves...), the opposite side of Blue on the color wheel (See where I'm going with this?). It just doesn't have the spare creatures to pull off a cost like that reliably. And even if you do, it just eats away your card advantage and steers you away from winning.

Yes, there are merfolk, birds, and such but notice how much you have to bend over backwards to make blue token engines work? Don't fall in to the trap of trying to make this card function.

The last ability is cool, and at least it is a huge creature. Since this is Homelands, I'd expect the Leviathan of the set to be a 2/4 with Plainshome or some stupid thing.

@Paladin85
"...as blue doesn't get much in terms in creature burn..."

Paladin, I am sory, but blue is original color of "pingers" and it changed only few years ago with "color pie shifting ..."

Let me name a bunch of them, there are more for sure, but it is enough to show that blue is father of "ping" creatures ...

Prodigal Sorcerer, Zuran Spellcaster, Suq'ata Firewalker, Pirate Ship, Stinging Barrier, Apprentice Sorcerer, Capricious Sorcerer, Fledgling Mawcor, Mawcor, Psionic Entity, Psionic Sliver, Thornwind Faeries, Wu Longbowman ...

Oh hey, it's a giant viper fish! Yes, these things do really exist, however, they're only a foot long. Actually, their teeth are too long for them to close their jaw without getting stabbed.

Funny how two or three average sized creatures can kill somehting that can swallow a whale whole. Then again that luminescent organ may also contain its vitals, I've never dissected a leviathan.
