I misread the flavor text as "few are able to understand the hordes", which is just as appropriate.

It's not fair to blame only the artist. After all, even great art wouldn't make this random collection of rabble scary or worth taking seriously... I mean really, what's up with the variety of objects here? Let's see, a spitoon, some sort of desk (though it looks more like an evil TV), a wagon wheel, there is indeed a windmill in the back there, a lamppost (which scores double points for being anachronistic)... Uninspired name with no pop, a questionable creature type, and nonsensical flavor text that makes a vague, failing attempt at being profound round off a card I hope to never see again

One of the strangest cards I ever pulled from a pack, I didn't know what to do with it then and I still don't know what to do with it now.

I am just not a fan of Ian Miller's art. Interesting artifact creature, though...

How is this considered a spirit? I think I see an angry windmill in the artwork...

Look out. It's the horrible hordes.

Artwork so bad that it actually angers you is thankfully rare. The original Nicol Bolas is a good example, and so is Double H here. Ian Miller: for great justice. You have no chance to survive make your time.
