This is not actually too bad of a card. The fact that it has some evasion/defensive flight to go with the pump ability makes it good for its role, provided you have some Black to pump it up. A solid pick in limited if drafting those colors, which also feature removal and bounce to get any flyers that an opponent is able to stick, out of play so you can swing.

The style is too dark-colored for DiTerlizzi, I suspect Wizards 'recommended' the artist to change...
