this card was so much fun when it was type two , dragons roost ,centaur glade,blaze, their was so much you could do with it. all it took was one more elf and Pemmin's Aura and it as all golden

This guy is absolutely insane in my Simic, Edric, Spymaster of Trest EDH deck.
Play him together with Vigean Graftmage and two more elves, prefferably Immaculate Magistrate and Master Biomancer get infinite mana and pump up that biomancer which allows you to play creatures that come into play with a million plus 1 counters on it, essentially for free. Works also with Viridian Joiner, Fathom Mage, Deadeye Navigator shenangians etc.
He is not a Hermit Druid, Priest or Archdruid but damn, he produces mana of any color! He is an essential, staple card in any multicolor casual elf tribal deck hands down.

Still insane though. Both still go infinite with Umbral Mantle.

Sure Priest of Titania costs less for adding X mana for each elf you control, but this is for ANY color mana, not just green, and thus can combo with things like Pemmon's Aura for infinite mana - of any color, combos of color as long as you have a few elves out and remember to keep pumping blue mana into the enchantment.
