Well, they're not going to make a whole new creature type just for creatures as obscure as anemones, so they just went with whatever's closest.

This guy wouldn't be so bad in my Axebane Guardian/Galvanic Alchemist inexpensive infinite-mana combo deck.

4/5. We have a code 5 clinger. I knew WOTC was itching to make a card with flavor dripping from the Wedding Crashers. "Lock it up!" "NO YOU LOCK IT UP!"

Simic wasn't as cool as Orzhov, Dimir, or Boros to me....at first.

Eventually some Simic cards got spoiled that got me really excited, but when I'm in my Johnny Mood is usually the OPPOSITE of when I'm in my Green Mood (though my Green side is also not very Timmy...it's more....Jedi?)

Anyway, my Crazy Science-omancy Decks tend to lean far more Izzet than Simic.

I would like them to eventually add a few more creature types to make cards like this more accurate. :)

Sea Plant would be able to cover A LOT of creatures, especially if you combined it with things like 'Octopus' :D

Coral should really be creature type- Skeleton tbh, and if I ruled MAGIC (was MaRo), I would try to advocate for adding 'Mollusk' to the creature types. We don't need a LOT of new creature types, but I think we need SOME.

No, Magic doesn't want to try to correctly taxonomize every Kingdom, Phylum, Class, Order, Family, Genus, and Species of creature types, for the reasons I'm sure at least one article has al... (see all)
