Very good Limited removal. I ran two in my Boros Prerelease deck. Too expensive for Constructed, but one of the better removal spells in draft. Probably won't see Block Constructed either with things like Detention Sphere, Abrupt Decay, and Dreadbore around too.

This is good in monowhite? Maybe in block because you can get much better removal for less mana in Legacy.

This card is worth it just for Sakon's comment. As is, White has better (Damage to attacking or blocking is kind of their thing), Red has better (Damage to EVERYTHING is kind of their thing), and all in all no reason for this card to be played by anyone ever.

It's not bad if you need extra removal in a deck loaded with Searing Spears. Somewhat slow, but not incredibly slow, and it will kill a lot of stuff in standard. I don't think it's that bad. A bomb in limited for sure.

There's better removal out there that isn't so conditional. Shock and Lightning Strike are better in a boros or red deck.
