This card would suck early game. But I mean turn 5 I can tap out and have an emergency counter, 4.5/5 for that.

@splizer True, but there are options depending on the format, etc - casually I'd run a deck with Pact of Negation and Platinum Angel if I were running something like Diplomatic Immunity and protected my angel with it. hehe.

Regarding shenanigans while Hive Mind is out on the field in Multiplayer: Couldn't a player potentially counter another player's Pact of Negation, preventing them from having to pay the cost on their turn? Obviously not everyone will be spared, but it'd stop the original caster from insta-winning.
