...seems like it could be pretty silly with Ink-Treader Nephilim. You know, if you want people to hate that creature above all else. Just need a good X spell....

It's Dark Ritual! It's back! Yay! Exuberance! Wait... what's this mediocre kill spell attached to my Dark Ritual?

Thinking of this from a Limited-centric POV, I'm very negative on it. This is a bad card, that's forcing me hard into black, when I'm not otherwise seeing much upside to playing black in M14 Limited. I could be proven wrong, but this looks like an all-formats dud.

Even if this does give you three mana, you still need five mana to cast this. Not worth it in Limited or Constructed. It's just another mediocre kill spell with an added effect that's only marginally useful by the time you can use it.

Strange card. Very expensive sorcery speed removal with the mana replenishment that will let you cast a 3 drop or something.

With Omniscience it is even better than dark ritual... Well I tried.

I would like it a lot more as a kill spell if it was instant speed. Still, even at sorcery speed it is a must grab in Limited because it is removal. But in Standard, it is unplayable.

Shame it's MC already has BB in it's cost, if it were 4B, you could use it as a weird sort of mana fixing card for multicolor decks that want to run black heavy cards. Granted, with today's mana fixing it would be mostly pointless anyway.

Worked well with Grim Return for me as a clunky way to gain control of my opponent's best/most annoying creature. Also worked well with Vile Return.
