As if a 5/7 Indestructible for 4 wasn't good enough, clearly Wizards hasn't learned the lesson of just how good card draw from life is (see Griselbrand, Necropotence and Yawgmoth's Bargain all being banned or restricted)

All said Greed is a very powerful effect and randomly stopping life gain is nice. Might just make it to standard for the greed, but should be an all star in EDH.

@TheWrathofShane - And I suppose that you're not concerned about any of the other many religions in the world? Or the majority of people that are happy to accept concepts such as gods and devils in a fantasy game? The idea of Christianity holding exclusive rights over any form of 'angel' or 'devil' seems fairly offensive as of itself - is Greek mythology to be excluded from our media because it conflicts with Christian mythology? Both of them are equally valid.
If people choose to exclude themselves from a form of media because it involves religious connotations (whether that's a game, literature, media or anything else), then let them make that decision. They care about their audience, not the people who have already made their decision.

@TheWrathofShane, If you can't let a fantasy game use creature types that are incredibly flavorful, solely because of your religion, there is something wrong with you.
While you're at it, you may as well point out that the angels are all females, whereas the bible clearly names only male angels.

I would say he's being overrated. The card draw is awesome but it's very very expensive. He's not a creature all that much and his static ability is fairly niche - how much does lifegain really matter? All the other gods have much better static abilties. I think this blow over and he'll drop to a dollar.
