At the prerelease, every game it went monstrous, I won. Built-in finisher spell on a finisher creature.

I once got Thassa's Emissary AND Infiltrator's Helm on him. 9/9, Curiosity, unblockable, potential to become a 13/13 and tapdown all the dudes.

I see all these high costing activated abilities in this set and I just can't help but think about training grounds or heartstone. It makes me wonder if they are going to add something like those 2 cards into the next set or the last. accelerating mana to activate these is nice, but I think I would prefer a way to reduce it. Training grounds might not make sense for this set, considering that most the creatures with activated abilities are Gods or monstrous. But that doesn't mean they can't make a functional reprint.
PS: This card is sweet. I had tones of fun with it at the pre-release.

The best part about using this at the prerelease was the turn after it went monstrous watching them attempt to untap their creatures only to have me intervene and let them read the card again. The feels!

I loved this guy so much during the pre-release. I built an esper control deck during it. That format is so slow. The kraken won every game i drew him
