The old art always reminded me of a crude gattlinggun. Give this little guy deathtouch and he mows the enemy forces down like it's 1917. Plus it was illustrated by Greg Staples, one of my favourite Magic Illustrators, so I kinda wish they kept the old art with the new border.

That said, the new art is hilariously absurd, perfectly logical in goblin craftsmanship and is illustrated by Wayne Reynolds, another one of my favourite Magic Illustrators, whom I especially love his technique and concepts when illustrating goblins. 5/5

Have this out on the battlefield.

Two turns later cast Tempt with Vengeance.

See who remembers that you've got this little guy sitting there.

Put him on the field; your opponents are laughing.
Give him deathtouch; your opponents are crying.

I am not impressed with this art, and I feel like I'm the only one who loved the original Sharpshooter that is ALSO not feeling it with this one. :/

I get the need for Goblins to be ridiculous. Really! But this one feels like a 4th-wall-breaking LOONEY TUNE, and I guess what I liked about the other Stupid Crazy Goblins is that they just looked like they were dumb creatures interacting with a realistic world.

This card looks exactly like all laws of nature and logic just don't apply to anything in his vicinity, and It makes it feel at home in a Yu-Gi-Oh! deck, a Yu-Gi-Oh! GX deck, a Pokémon Deck, or a Scooby-Doo Deck all at the same time....and it doesn't feel quite nearly as much at home in a Deck that's from a more humorous, low-level DnD adventure that tries to play almost everything straight. :/

If they'd showed a machine gunner that was cackling madly while he was spraying bullets everywhere except his target, the epitome of the OPPOSITE of a sharpshooter, it would have been f... (see all)

The sad thing is that he probably still needs to equip the Razorback.
