So, maybe I'm imagining things,
But doesn't that demon's horns look like the Avacyn symbol?
I'm aware of re-hashing art, which I'm fine with, I'm just making observations.

Yeah its a cheap rare that needs a decent deck to function. Slapping this in a random black deck is not a good idea :P

Still he can provide creature removal and slay 6 toughness creatures in combat (while living), though he is expensive to cast.

2.5/5

6 power in the air is good, but he just feels so clunky. At 7 cmc you expect a little more out of a bomb.

Maybe if his sac abilities didn't cost mana?

Avacyn tastes like, contrary to what some may expect, cranberries. When questioned why his creation did, Sorin, evasive at first, responded that he was enjoying a cranberry pie at the time of giving Avacyn life, and there was a slight mixup in what he was doing with his hands at a particular moment. Tibalt attempted to tease Sorin for it, but was promptly shut up after Sorin retorted that not even EDH players use him. Tibalt was later found sulking in his trailer.

Can you use Eater of Hope's 1 mana cost ability to sacrifice one of your creatures, even if Eater of Hope is not dead?

Silly question - When you pay the activation cost of Eater of Hopes, is it Eater destroying the target creature - I'm assuming so? i.e. If I play Crypsis, would the activation fizzle on the target and my opponent ends up sacrificing 2 creatures?

I agree with @Taudisban. This guy isn't supposed to be thrown into any random Black deck, he is supposed to go into a Sacrifice deck filled with creatures that like to be sacrificed (Mausoleum Guard and Doomed Traveler springs to mind) as well as lots of delicious Tokens. The only bad thing is his high cost, though I can surely see him in my Sacrifice deck getting out via Unburial Rites for 4-5 mana. I for one find his 3 mana ability intriguing, 3 mana for a reusable Murder? And I get to sacrifice something? Why thank you.
