As an instant this could have easily when worthy of its rare status since it pretty much guaranteed the skillfull player to draw a handful of cards. As a sorcery however, it's arguable whether its better or worse than Hunter's Insight--an uncommon. It's just another fifty-cent rare in a set filled with fifty-cent rares.

This is true story, at a Standard event i was hit for 14 from a savageborn hydra We spoke about the possibilities of this card impacting Standard. we both agreed the jury is out. in the next round he did it 3 times on different creatures . and when this fires off it's usaully GG shortly after. I played it tonight in a Naya Xenagos deck, how about ramping a turn 4 xenagos God and top decking an Elvish mystic and playing it , playing Hunter's Prowness and givining +x/+x with the God and haste. making me draw 8 cards and refill my hand and GG. I won my FNM tonight and Hunter's Prowness was the MVP. even in decks where it's a strong 2 for 1 risk, those decks are usually slamming Desecration Demon or Jace, Architect of thought and now probably Kiora, the crashing wave. my thoughts is this get's a 5 and this card is Green's Sphinx's Revelation I just nearly cleaned o... Sweet spell that works great with big 'ol green creatures and the heroic mechanic in general. Just be aware of your opponent's untapped mana / color of that mana, because getting the creature killed or tapped before they can attack would be a huge loss.

Expensive? Yes.

Worth it? Very. This can either refill your hand or FORCE your opponent to deal with a frightening creature.

If you pick one up, snap up any Horizon Chimera you see. Very strong combination in draft.

Use this in my GW Hero deck. Really fun with Fabled Hero and Bow of Nylea. Without anything else, it deals at least 11 damage if it's blocked, 12 if not, plus drawing that many cards. And thats without any other enchantments or Heroic triggers.
