I use this as one of two mill conditions in my Artifacts Deck. This with a station or two, throw in a couple of hats to wake these dudes up, and I can mill for three hundred billion cards as early as the fourth turn.

Happy rending, my friends.

Oh the fun to be had when you hammer these out with a semblance anvil

turn 1: black lotus, semblance anvil (imprint artifact), grinding station, retriever x2.

No land necessary. Easily adapted to work without the lotus.

New guys see it as ok.

Pros see it as really, really good.

also with casting cost reduced by 2 (2x Etherium Sculptor or Cloud Key or Helm of Awakening or just one Mycosynth Golem), 2 of these and any sacrificial engine are infinite. I use Mycosynth/Sculptor and Arcbound Ravager (usually) in my ravager affinity deck, can get it going 1 out of 2 games average.

@MindBend: Yes, obviously making infinite men is extremely helpful in powering up a gigantic Magma Mine...maybe if the mine is his wife and he's driving her crazy talking about Magic...
