Oh, come on. Is the difference between creature and artifact really that big, that Ashnod's Altar only costs 3 while this one costs 4?

The old Standard combo, for those who aren't familiar with it:
Spend the first couple of turns getting down four mana and as many artifacts as possible, ideally six (easily done with Chrome Mox, the artifact lands, the mana myr, and cheap stuff like Ornithopter, Conjurer's Bauble, etc...). When you have four mana available, play Krark-Clan Ironworks. Sacrifice three of your artifacts to the ironworks to make six mana and play Myr Incubator. Then, sacrifice three more artifacts to make six more mana and activate Myr Incubator. Search your library for at least 22 artifacts (again, easily done because almost the entire deck consisted of artifacts, courtesy of the artifact lands) to produce at least 22 1/1 Myr artifact creature tokens. Sacrifice all of them to the ironworks to make 44 colorless mana. Use four of that mana to play Goblin Cannon, and then use the rest of it to activate i... (see all)

My friend has a Sharuum EDH deck. Aside from maybe Clock of Omens, this is by far the most powerful and degenerate card in the deck.
- It generates tons of mana.
- It lets any of his permanents (save for his Tezzerets and nonartifact lands) dodge removal that isn't krosan grip.
- It gets things in the graveyard for Sharuum to get back to get the enter the battlefield effect again OR things with leave the battlefield effects (such as Ichor Wellspring or Spine of Ish Sah).
- It lets him sac Sharuum so he can recast her in order to get something in the graveyard back.

Key card to so many combos that I lost count already.
Has won me multiple games with 2 Myr Retriever + Disciple of the Vault ^^
