consider this scenario: you have no untapped creatures and your opponent attacks with a watchwolf and a leatherback baloth. you responod sacrificing a mudbutton torchrunner and playing this for 3 mana, blocking and killing the baloth and doing the 3 damage of the torchrunner to the watchwolf, taking no damage yourself. the next turn attack for the win with your pumped goblins and a 7/5. all for 3 mana.

Soild card, flash in at the end of there turn, then swing for a brutal finisher. Kind of like a pseudo haste.

sneak attack Wort, the Raidmother into play, cast and conspire act of treason to steal the two best creatures opponents control, sacrifice Wort to the patron, give the Aki haste in whatever manner you see fit, swing.

Nevermind a goblin tied to the sticks. Here's something you might never notice on the card itself: the patron's body is actually made up of thousands of akki!
