an 8 mana bomb that doesn't immediately affect the battlefield, and being a creature it's very likely to die before it can do anything? meh.
I mean, bogardan hellkite is really pricey, but at least when it comes into play it immediately does 5 damage.

Don't make the mistake of thinking General's Kabuto would prevent this guy from taking damage from his ability. Keyword is "Combat Damage", which is only damage from attacking or blocking.
As for the card, its something that your opponent needs to deal with quickly, before they get roasted.

To protect it: Unquestioned Authority, Spirit Mantle and Holy Mantle. To make your opponent mad: Basilisk Collar or Gorgon Flail.
