Don't forget you can play it offensively on your opponent's creatures who now gain life FOR you, since the enchantment causes the creature to gain life for the enchantment's controller regardless who owns/controls the creature itself.

In EDH it syncs well with Oloro, or just smile as your opponent's Nekusar gains life for you, as well as negates the draw damage it causes for you too (provided any individual draw-damage isn't fatal).

This one states "Enchant creature you control" But you are absolutely right with Spirit Link and Armadillo Cloak
