BETTER than Thundermare! Especially around green pumps. Primal Bellows with the 2 mana you dind't have to spend on Thundermare.

Undying Evil is a splendid card to respond to Echo triggers in general,
but this particular stallion might be the best one of them all.
Cast Timbermare and hit for 5. During the upkeep, cast Undying Evil and make Timermare return (by not paying echo) as 6/6.
Now you're going to hit for 6 and still got mana to cast something (untapped) for the remaining amount of mana - maybe even another creature with haste (except for another Timbermare).
Of course, if you want to keep your 6/6 horsey next turn, you'll have to pay the upkeep cost this time.
Unless you use Cauldron of Souls or something.

I've seen this card used to interesting effect in Exalted decks. In a casual multiplayer game, you might chill and play some exalted cards, and if you get to five of them, one of which is Rafiq of the Many, Timbermare can hit for 20.
Conditional but effective.
