Okay so this isn't that good against Iona, because it's black. I use this though in my Esper deck, only because I use two Lodestone Golem's and I don't want to screw myself over. But anyways, I actually am going to take these out and put in my two Brittle Effigy's that I got recently. Those are better overall, by far.

@Fordin - True...but all it ends up doing is getting the damn thing shuffled back into your opponent's library. If all you need is a turn or two more, it's great...but if you opponent draws it again or has a way of searching it out, you're still screwed (unless you can recur the Capsule).

Okay quick stupid question. Can this cards "sacrifice to destroy" effect be activated by another cards effect that states "Sacrifice an artifact", such as Kuldotha Rebirth without paying the cost on this card?

Benefits of this over Doom Blade:
-If you play it early, it effectively gives you an uncounterable Doom Blade later in the game.
-It adds to your artifact count which can be great for Affinity and other artifact-based decks.
-It's immune to hand removal like Duress and Thoughtseize. If anything happens to your hand, you have this as insurance.
-Your opponent always has to watch out for this and it might strongly halt their board development.

Disadvantages:
-Not quite instant speed. You can't just play it at any time - you need to have it out already to use it.
-Your opponent knows that it's coming and will play around it.
-It effectively costs B more if you want to use it right now which can especially suck if you don't have double swamp when you want to use it - it effectively becomes a turn slower than Doom Blade.
-Krosan Grip.

Overall, Doom Blade is still the better card but this can be very nice in some decks and situations.
