Milling cards are just getting more and more insane... I wonder what will be the milling cards for the next core set. Plus, this was never a blue specialty, blue did it in different ways with Prosperity and Braingeyser, but not like this. I think this should be blue / black or black only. This card doesn't feel blue at all to me.

Couple this with Vulturous Zombie (make it a +X/+X where X is half of your library) and some Rise from the Grave cards, or even better, as mentioned, a bunch of artifacts and enchantments with Open the Vaults, and you are a happy camper.

As has been mentioned, one of the best milling cards out there. By the time you get to play it (turn 5, unless you have some sort of mana accel) the opponent will have around 48 or so cards in their deck. 24 cards gone in one action is even better than Jace Berelen's major ability (although, his is a set amount, so they're probably about just as good as each other). If you manage to attack once or twice with a Nemesis of reason afterwards, the game should end pretty quickly (especially if you can follow it up with Haunting Echoes).

It works even better if you can get Liliana Vess out, and are able to activate her major shortly after using this. All the opponent's graveyard creatures (if you manage to get 20 cards, there should be around 8 creatures) become yours to do with what you will. So it can combo with other mill cards to destroy the opponent's library, or other utility cards to create a massive force. What's not to love?

This plus a fully charged Bloodchief Ascension equals one shriveled sack of bones that used to be your opponent.

Traumatize with Relic of Progenitus on the field; activate the relic.

Is it overkill? Maybe, but I don't think so. Not considering how many cards are useful from the graveyard. Plus, it's a handy way for a mono-blue/Artifact deck to remove Progenitus himself from the game. (I'm not sure, but I think the relic would resolve before Progenitus' second ability activated).

Progenitus never hits the graveyard so you can't exile him with Relic.

My favorite trick in my Sharuum the Hegemon commander deck is to tutor for Open the Vaults or Roar of Reclamation, then cast Traumatize on myself. Then next turn, I can basically dump everything I milled into play.

I can see using it in multiplayer myself. With Twincast, That's either 1 opponent playing with 1/4 of a deck or 2 opponents playing with 1/2. And for only 7 total mana!
